Do you want to know more about dancing? Perhaps you had taken dance lessons whilst you were a child yet didn’t continue to keep on going. Well, it’s never too late to start out again. Get out of your comfort zone, immerse yourself into brand new adventures! Routine can clearly be tedious and no one can refute the efficiency of it, but every once in a while you might need to step it up. Dance courses are generally a tremendous option to meet brand-new people and help make your personal life more interesting. Any time you take dance classes, you are working out parts of the brain you don’t in fact make use of on a day to day basis. Dancing lessons will without doubt increase a person’s brainpower, while breaking up one’s own schedule. So dust off those dance shoes and take a chance.
Many places in New York City feature assorted levels of dance lessons to meet all your needs, only make certain you will be comfortable using the level you are getting into the lesson at. You may possibly be able to drop-in for free or pay a little bit of the charge for the initial few dance classes to make sure it is something you genuinely really want to undertake.

Great place to take a couple of dance and workout classes (especially if going to the gym or having a membership doesn’t interests). You can take classes at Alvin Ailey a la carte (around $15/per class) or purchase a one-week pass.
The Dance Theater is an extension from the infamous Alvin Ailey Dance Group, so a lot of the people taking classes here are real dancer or people who have a keen interest and talent in the dance/performing arts medium.
This, however, should not deter you from trying a class or two. Of course, it might help to go with a friend or two (actually it’ll be a great bonding time if you do) but don’t let that stop you. Having been a couple of classes (Masala Bhangra and African Dance), a lot are regulars; it only makes sense they’re that good…they go all the time!!!

I have taken a couples crash course, a salsa/swing class, and private lessons here. I thought the couples crash course was an excellent value as well as the salsa/swing class. Both were taught by Suzanne.
But the private lesson was invaluable. Getting an instructor to show you the precise corrections in form you need was the best! My fiance and I were trying to brush up on our dancing with the courses. But we really didn’t have any flow together when dancing. Or so I thought until our private class with Lou. After going to one class with him, I’m confident that we’ll be able to dance at our wedding and look like we have some rhythm and grace. Lou is a good teacher!

What can I not say about Scilla Dance Studio.
My daughter began her dance instruction at a school not far from Scilla. My Wife and I could see after the first year this was not a school we wanted our daughter to learn in. I walked in to Scilla one day and struck up a conversation with Mr. Gary. I explained that I was unhappy at our current dance studio and was looking for a change. Mr. Gary left me with a good feeling that Scilla was where we wanted to be.
8 years and many fond memories later we are still at Scilla. Miss Sandy and Mr. Gary make you feel like family all of the time. The instructors are top notch.
I cannot recommend Scilla enough. Get your children the best dance instruction available in Queens, go to Scilla…..
